The Frame’s training program centers around constant growth. We apply this to horses at the start of their career, to the horses that our clients bring to us for training, to the riders of all ages who learn with us, and to ourselves as we compete and tailor our system to individual needs.
The Frame’s training program is built on the clear and consistent European framework of young horse development. We focus on steady, patient, and consistent progress while exposing horses to an array of scenarios. We regularly attend schooling shows, breeding shows, young horse show series, and shows managed by USDF, USEA, and USHJA. Once they have exposure in one step, we quietly move them on to the next step. Through this framework, we help horses to build trust in the rider and to discover their own strengths.
When we take your horse into our training program, we treat them as one of our own. We want horses to be able to learn how to use their bodies and guide them as they positively progress mentally and physically. Each horse is different, so we strive to understand what drives them and to rigorously analyze their individual biomechanics.
Our goal for each horse is to build a solid foundation of basics that will follow them throughout their careers. We reinforce self-confidence, manners, and a healthy work ethic in our horses. We allow them to make mistakes, then consistently encourage them to build successes to develop their own judgment and awareness. When you join The Frame, we build a relationship with your horse through riding them ourselves and observing them carefully.
Our horses have competed at all levels. While some have been in contention for Olympic competition, many of our horses have been equally successful with their amateur owners.
