Herni is a lovely young horse with a happy disposition, willing attitude, and genuine enjoyment of being around people. If he could climb into your lap, he probably would. More importantly, he approaches new experiences with the same confidence and curiosity that make quality young horses such a pleasure to develop.
Henri is by registered Connemara stallion Blue Ridge Monroe and out of a Thoroughbred mare, bringing together the athleticism, versatility, and sensible temperament that make Connemara crosses so desirable. Already standing 16 hands as a yearling, he has the size, substance, and athletic foundation to develop into a serious sport horse prospect. Henri earned 2nd place In-Hand at the ACPS Region 3 Show and continues to demonstrate the kind of trainability that professionals value. He learns quickly, accepts new questions without drama, and has shown every indication that he will be straightforward to start under saddle when the time comes.
Despite his age, Henri has already been thoughtfully introduced to many of the building blocks of a future performance career. He lunges quietly, wears a saddle and bridle without concern, cross-ties, clips, bathes, stands for fly spray, and has been off property multiple times, including an overnight trip to the Lexington Horse Center. He has even hand-walked around a cross-country course, taking the experience in stride.
Athletic, willing, and exceptionally personable, Henri is the type of young horse that rewards thoughtful development. We believe he is ideally suited for a professional or experienced rider looking to bring along a talented prospect with all the ingredients for a successful sport horse career.
