Heist is a lovely young Oldenburg gelding with an excellent temperament, quality movement, and the kind of straightforward personality that makes him a pleasure to have in a program. By Grande Sovereign and out of Thief in Style (Cat Thief), Heist earned a 7.9 at his Oldenburg inspection and has the breeding, athleticism, and natural way of going to make an exciting hunter or eventing prospect.
Currently 15.3h and expected to mature around 16.1h, Heist has a big, naturally balanced stride and is an attractive mover. He has a natural lead change both in the paddock and under saddle, and has shown himself to be brave, friendly, and easygoing. Lightly started under saddle, he is still at the beginning of his education and offers an opportunity for someone to develop a young horse with a good foundation and plenty of potential.
One of Heist’s greatest assets is his temperament and ease in everyday handling. He has been handled by an amateur his entire life and is comfortable with all of the practical details that make a young horse enjoyable to own. He stands quietly for the farrier and vet, clips, bathes, loads, and travels easily, and is happy going out with either mares or geldings. He is up to date on everything and is genuinely uncomplicated in his daily routine. He has the type of sensible, willing personality that makes him easy to work around and a pleasure to bring along.
Heist is suitable for an amateur interested in developing a young horse with the guidance of a professional, or a professional looking for a quality young prospect to produce. With his movement, natural lead change, and easygoing attitude, we think he has a lovely future ahead of him in either the hunter or eventing ring.
For someone looking for a young horse with a good brain, quality movement, and the opportunity to be involved in the early stages of his career, Grande Heist is a very nice prospect. He is being offered for sale as lightly started young stock, with his price expected to increase as his training and experience progress.
